Everything about Villa Fiorentino is amazing! We spent 3 days in the Primavera suite, and we loved every minute of it. First, the hosts are just so nice and welcoming, we felt at home the minute we got to the villa! The suite was spacious, clean, and had the most perfect terrasse with view of Positano and the sea...I could not get enough of that view! Everyday they would set up breakfast out on the terrasse and it was the best way to start the day. The villa is a quick 2 minutes walk from all the restaurants, shops, and the beach, and yet it was always very quiet at night. The hosts arranged for parking (around 20 a day), and had so many good suggestions on restaurants, excursions etc, and they will be happy to call and schedule everything for you. I cannot recommend Villa Fiorentino enough, and I really hope to one day return to this amazing place! Stayed October 2016, traveled as a couple

We just returned from a 3 day stay at Villa Fiorentino in Positano. Our unit was spacious and included a huge patio overlooking the city. Each morning our specially requested breakfast arrived at the appointed time. The food was delicious and well presented. I can't say enough about the hotel, but the steps are definitely something to consider. It was 30 steps to our room and another 30 to the pool. This would have been manageable but after sightseeing in the city with the multitude of steps we could have done away with the extra steps to the room. Across the street is a set of steps to town which take 10 to 15 minutes. Once in town the side street to the harbor/beach is downhill including several steps. Then another 15 steps to the beach and restaurants. Of course, what goes down must go up so heading back to the hotel was another story. 15 steps up from the beach, 1.5 mile winding upward sloping street with several steps brought us to downtown Positano. We were then a 10 minute walk of steps up the mtn to our villa. (There was an option to walk around on a road but you take your life in your hands with all the speeding mopeds.) So, after a visit to town we were not thrilled with the steps to our unit. We are moderately active and found the steps a little overwhelming. if you can do many steps with no problem this is definitely the place to stay. Stayed September 2016, traveled as a couple

My wife and I vistied Positano stayed at Villa Fiorentino for 3 nights. When researching the best places to stay, we relied heavily on the TripAdvisor reviews. We ended up booking at the last minute and paid top dollar for the room - Ritz and Four Season kind of prices (our fault). Given the price of the room, my expectations were sky high. As other reviews have mentioned, the entrance is underwhelming and I started to question my decision. The staff was very friendly, and you could tell they put their heart and soul into running the hotel. Upon arrival to our room "Sole" we were amazed at the size of the terrace and the breathtaking views of the port. When we entered the room, that was a bit of a different story. While the apartment was huge (bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bath) - it was quite dated. The bed was really hard, and the sheets were pretty severe. All of that said, we did not spend much time in the room. Breakfast is included, and was served on our private terrace. It's really quite spectacular. We decided to walk the Path of the Gods, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They arranged transportation for us and a guide as well. They also arranged transportation back to Naples and helped me get train tickets to Rome. As other reviewers have said - the location is nice. About half way up the slopes, so high enough to have a great view and close enough to walk everywhere. The little grocery store across the street was a nice daily adventure as well! All in all - a beautiful place to experience and I am sure we will go back to Positano.

Family stayed in a two bedroom suite at inn...all I can say is wow!. service is great. Family that owns it and staff are friendly and will do any thing you ask. pros and cons Pros - location/views, infinity pool, cocktail lounge, good WiFi, breakfast delivered to room each morning, great grocery store across street for wine, italian meat and cheeses, fruit, etc (plus they will deliver to your room) Cons- The seventy five steps up from street level. If you are in shape, not a problem, my wife, daughter and I handled it fine, my 73 year old mother inlaw had to take it slow at the end of each day. Its another 30-40 steps to the roof top bar and pool area,...but the view is awesome. if you have trouble with steps, inquire if they have rooms or apartments on the office level or lower.

My family spent an incredible week here in July as part of our 3 weeks traveling in Italy. It was, quite simply, the best of the best. We were happy with all of our accommodations during our travels, but none could top the view, facilities and service of Villa Fiorentino. Really it was perfect for us. We booked the Sogno d'Amore apartment and the Azurro room, and really never tired of the views from our terrace. I became quite addicted to the cappuccino delivered each morning, and the kids to the chocolate muffins. These were always brought with a smile, which really demonstrates how genuinely friendly this place is. No matter who we spoke to, whether at the bar, the front desk, or in our rooms, we were always treated with such kindness and felt very special and lucky to be there. The pools were refreshing and gorgeous (both with a splendid view of the town and sea), and the poolside Infinity Bar was just fantastic. We had great mojitos, bellinis, and lemon granita for the kids pretty much every day. After our morning activities, the pool provided a much needed respite from the crowds and heat. It was a bonus that we could order food here, too, which we did a few times. Really, the food and beverage service in our rooms and at the pool provided the best of both worlds- a large apartment with laundry and full kitchen, plus hotel services (including housekeeping and concierge service). The location of the Villa is at the top of town, so there are many, many (many) steps. But this didn't bother us at all. Even our kids (the youngest was 5) had no trouble and, without the steps, we wouldn't have had the birds eye Positano view that you see in the postcards. This was most definitely worth it for us! in fact, when choosing a place to stay the view was my top priority and I was not disappointed. Really, I can't say enough about how much we recommend Villa Fiorentino for a family stay in Positano. In fact, we very well may be back next summer! One can only hope!
